They parted ways with a franchise they\u2019d initially been part of and launched Croi in its current form\u2014an independent bakery and brunch caf\u00e9 that has since become a local favorite. Some customers have even traveled from Zalaegerszeg, a city far from Budapest, just to stock up on Croi\u2019s baked goods! <\/p> \n

If you\u2019re wondering about the name, Croi comes from a cute inside joke between P\u00e9ter and Orsi. When they were dating, P\u00e9ter would often ask what Orsi had eaten for breakfast, and she\u2019d always reply, \u201cOh, just a croi\u201d (short for croissant). The nickname stuck, and when it came time to name their caf\u00e9, Croi was an obvious choice. <\/p> \n
