Blueberry Brunch

Modern, clean style and blueberry specialities. We’ve tried Budapest’s newest brunch restaurant: our visit at Blueberry Brunch

Blueberry Brunch opened its doors at the end of March 2023 for those who want to have a hearty brunch. The breakfast place is located between Szent István Basilica and Liberty Square, at Hercegprímás street 17.
Although the restaurant is located on the ground floor of a corner building among the multitude of buildings, thanks to its southwest location, it is bright, which is also helped by the large windows. This way, we can comfortably contemplate the pulsating life of the city center.

Detailed, stylish design

The blueberry color played a big role in the design of the Blueberry Brunch – as its name implies. And for this dominant color, a simple, yet stylish design has been planned, where, in addition to friendly meet ups, we can even hold discussions and business meetings. Small details, such as blueberry motifs and wall pictures make the interior of the breakfast area more cozy.

In recent years, those who enjoy brunching have more and more opportunities to visit specialized catering units in Budapest. This line is also expanded by the Blueberry Brunch team, where breakfast plays the main role, regardless of the time of day. The menu includes typical breakfasts, but you can find real specialties as well – not to mention the huge blueberry option!

During our visit, we wanted to try both classic and special dishes, so we chose the eternal favorite of brunchers: eggs benedict, which was served with smoked salmon and spinach leaves on an English muffin. In addition, we asked for a toast with beetroot hummus, which arrived on a pleasantly crispy sourdough bread, decorated with avocado, arugula and bell peppers.

Well-thought-out menu, rich taste and textures

The menu is made up of several sections, in addition to the all-day breakfast offers, you can also find salads, egg dishes and tasty specialties, and the end of the line is of course the desserts. All allergens are listed on the menu, so even those with food allergies can easily find their way around the offers, and it is easy for those following a vegetarian and vegan diet to find their way around. The Blueberry Brunch team paid special attention to the fact that certain dishes are available in lactose-free and gluten-free versions, so no one can object to the items on the menu.

Among the desserts, we decided on the blueberry pancakes, which came with chocolate-coconut cream and fresh fruits – including blueberries, of course. Our other choice was a porridge: we are not big porridge fans, but we have no objections to the porridge available here. Its creamy texture, pleasant taste, and the harmony created with the fruits were simply perfect, it definitely became our favorite!

The Blueberry Brunch team is waiting for you every day of the week, but you should be on the lookout – the place is already very popular, the reason for which is shown in our article. Kind service, quality food and a real brunch atmosphere await visitors here!
